Hello,
I’m Isaac.
”Woah, tell me more!”
OK.
I’m an experienced editor, writer and content creator with a portfolio spanning websites, brand campaigns, podcasts, magazines, and newspapers.
In five years as editor of Men’s Fitness, I helped drive the brand’s transition to a digital-first approach, growing the website from launch and implementing a robust SEO strategy. I also modernised the monthly magazine – improving the diversity of cover models and feature topics, creating a more dynamic cover style, and introducing a section dedicated to mental health – to ensure the print product continued to hold its own in a challenging publishing environment.
As a writer – for the likes of The Guardian, Red Bull, ShortList, and BBC Countryfile – I’ve interviewed some of the biggest names in sport, including Anthony Joshua and Ben Stokes, and reported from events around the world. I’ve worked as a copywriter for London Marathon Events and a number of content agencies, and have created commercial content – from videos to advertorials – for various brands, including Charles Tyrwhitt, Huawei and WOW Hydrate. For a time, I was also a regular contributor to Wolsey’s ‘The Man Who’ series: interviewing some of the world’s most extreme adventurers from the wilds of Caffè Nero.
I’ve tried my hand at podcasting, too: co-founding London’s Peaks with my good friend Rick back in 2017. Featured in The Guardian and listed as one of the ‘best podcasts about London’, we walked and talked with some fascinating people – from the founding leader of the Women’s Equality Party, to a ‘guerrilla geographer’ and a post-punk legend – en route to the highest points in each London borough.
